| Clogged vent hole with Piezography Neutral K7 2200
cartridges Please
use this bulletin if you are experiencing any clogging issues with the
Piezography Neutral K7 cartridges. There are two issues which we are
aware of at this time. 1) First of all, our experienced users can not
believe how light the first two dilutions are! They have been expecting
darker tones in the lightest nozzle check patterns. The nozzle check
pattern below is an actual "good" pattern: Notice that in the above nozzle check pattern the 4th row is the the
lightest shade, and the 6th pattern is the next to lightest. They will
never print darker than this. So this is a correct pattern!
2) These new inks are designed to be very clog-free.
So when you first install a cartridge and you find that you have gaps
missing in the position of the cartridge which two to three cleanings
will not resolve, we would like you to attempt the following. The reason
is that sometimes when the vent tab release film is pulled, some of the
film remains covering the vent hole which needs to be opened by pricking
with a needle or a pin. We are going to have our supplier weld this
film to the cartridge with less force in the future.
You can also
look at the realease tab and see right away if the film is still
adhered to the vent hole by examining the pull tab. Look at the
photo just below this:

Here is the procedure for poking holes in the vent hole on which
the film is still adhered:
