Adobe Color Printer Utility
Starting around Photoshop CS5 (both Mac and PC), and Mac OS 10.6.8, color management became a mess.
The ability to correctly print with "NO color management" was removed, and color management is now applied automatically, even when selecting "off".
Adobe released a solution for this, called the Adobe Color Printer Utility, which is a very basic printing application that is designed to bypass the auto color management, and does correctly print with "NO color management". It is necessary for targets to be printed without any color management what-so-ever when making a new profile.
Information about ACPU, and downloads for Mac and PC can be found here: http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/...n-missing.html

Targets are slightly different size for Mac and PC, so be sure to download and print the correct targets for your computer platform. The accuracy in size, color, settings and quality of the targets determine the quality of the resulting profile, and off-sized targets will not be accepted by our measuring device. Always print a nozzle check to make sure all channels are fully printing before printing targets.
Instructions for using the ACPU, and targets for Mac and PC are attached to this document.
Best regards and happy printing~ Dana
